From the 19th to the 22nd of January, the FIEP was invited for the first time to the yearly International forum on cyber-security (FIC) in Lille (France). This event, in accordance with the 2015 FIEP focus on the challenges of digital transformation, gathered the FIEP forces’ general directors and commanders or their representatives, the new technologies and cyber-security experts and the FIEP points of contacts.
It was an opportunity for the FIEP yearly “new technologies” commission to exchange experiences and concerns regarding new missions and new opportunities, but also new threats and risks: exchanges with the public through the Internet for communication and operational interests, open-source intelligence and social media monitoring, cyber-crimes, connected roads and vehicles, use of new technologies in gendarmerie IT&C systems…
